Welcome to my site. My name is Daphne French and today I will be taking you on a virtual tour of Aphrodite's temples in the Mediterranean. We will be exploring the four Greek cities most famous for Aphrodite. First we'll visit Corinth, which is located on the isthmus that joins the Peloponnesus to the mainland of Greece. Next is Aphrodisias, which can be found in the Maeander River basin in Turkey. Our last temple is located in Knidos, also known as Cnidus, which is known as Tekir in modern-day Turkey. Finally we'll relax by visiting Paphos, the legendary ocean birthplace of Aphrodite and her peaceful bath.
